Let’s Visit!

I love visiting with my readers, whether it’s in person or virtually! Children and teens are excited and inspired by meeting real authors and having the opportunity to ask them questions. And being able to interact with the kids makes all the long, lonely hours at my computer worth it!

All of my books lend themselves well to book club and classroom discussion. Below, you’ll also find information on virtual visits and in-person visits. I’m happy to visit libraries as well as schools. Whether I visit with your readers virtually or in person, I can tailor my talks to your needs.

Virtual Visits: I do a 30-minute virtual visit that’s primarily Q&A.; The fee for a 30-minute virtual visit is $80.00. My one-hour “Meet the Author” visit is accompanied by a slide show with plenty of time for Q&A.; The fee for a one-hour virtual visit is $160.00.

In Person visits: I am comfortable talking with kids in an auditorium/gymnasium and in a smaller classroom setting. Whether I’m speaking to 400 or 40, I can gear my talks to your needs. I do, however, prefer to speak to grades 3 and up. Fees are negotiable depending on travel and length of time.
