A Pup Called Trouble by Bobbie Pyron

A Pup Called Trouble

“A beautifully written, fast-paced piece of storytelling. Brilliant!”
—Barbara O’Connor, award-winning author of Wish

Trouble is an overly-curious young coyote who gets in to all kinds of trouble when he gets lost in New York City! Can a crow named Mischief, an opossum named Rosebud, and a poodle named Minette help him find his way home?

Inspiration

Often, I get “story sparks” by things I read. I read an article about a coyote found running loose in downtown Manhattan in New York City. What, I wondered, was something as wild as a coyote doing in New York City? A couple of months later, I went to NYC for the first time. As I walked among the skyscrapers and through Central Park, I imagined what it must have been like for that coyote—what he’d seen and heard and smelled. Thus, Trouble was born.
